Less than one month to go for Nuffield Scholarship applications

June 4, 2024  By Potatoes in Canada

Applications to the Nuffield Canada Scholarship close on June 30.

The Nuffield Scholarship is a prestigious rural leadership program available to Canadian citizens who are involved in any aspect of agriculture.

Its goal is to attract mid-career men and women between the ages of approximately 25 and 50, willing to commit to 10 weeks of self-directed international travel study to examine and research an agricultural topic they are passionate about. Once travel is completed, scholars sum up their findings in a written report (approx. 10,000 words) and presentation to the Nuffield Canada at their annual general meeting.

The $20,000 scholarships are selected through a written and one-way video application process. Scholarship recipients can come from all areas of primary production including food, fibre, health care, biofuels, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture. Recipients can represent any aspect of the value chain such as primary production, processing, governance, communications, safety, mental health, and others.
