Kevin MacIsaac

Kevin joined the United Potato Growers of Canada in 2011 as General Manager.

He is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and the University of Guelph.

Prior to joining UPGC, he and his brother Blair operated a family farm (Lily Pond Farms) for 27 years.
He has been involved with many agricultural organizations, including Chair of the PEI Potato Board, Chair of the PEI Soil and Crop Improvement Association, and Director of the PEI Processing Committee.

Previous to farming he was an extension agronomist with the New Brunswick Department of Agriculture.

In his current role with UPGC, Kevin communicates with potato producers across the various Canadian provinces, and also meets regularly with his counterparts at the United Potato Growers of America.

In his spare time he is a marathon runner and enjoys spending time with his 5 grandchildren.

Terence Hochstein

Terence Hochstein is the executive director of the Potato Growers of Alberta, a not-for-profit grower organization of the 155 potato growers in the province of Alberta.

Terence received his business administration diploma in 1983 from Lethbridge College and an agricultural technology diploma from Lethbridge College in 1985. He also holds his Certified Crop Advisor license and is a licensed pesticide applicator in the province of Alberta.

In 2011, Terence joined the PGA as the technical director, overseeing the research portfolio as well as the Canada Gap and Environmental Farm Plan programs. In March 2013 he assumed responsibilities as the Executive Director after the retirement of the previous director.

Prior to joining the PGA he worked as an agronomist/manager for Viterra (Agricore United) for four years. Terence and his family continue to operate their mixed farm and ranch south of Pincher Creek, Alta., where he spent the previous 25 years working and managing the operation.

Outside of work, Terence spends time volunteering for various local community charities and has spent many years as a high school coach and 4-H leader. Terence currently resides in Taber with his wife Lynnette. They have 3 adult children residing across the country and love to spend time travelling to visit them and the grandchildren.

Greg Donald

Greg Donald has been the general manager of the P.E.I. Potato Board since 2009.

The P.E.I. Potato Board represents PEI potato producers working together to ensure long term profitability and sustainability through marketing, advocating, negotiation and activities that support quality potato production.

Greg has a BSc in agriculture with a major in plant protection from Dalhousie University. He also attended UNB and obtained a masters’ in business administration.

Greg has more than 25 years of experience in the potato industry, including five years with McCain Foods in New Brunswick in the area of agronomy, potato production, potato procurement and green crop field management. He then spent more than 14 years in progressively responsible management positions in the agricultural crop input business in Atlantic Canada and Maine with the Cavendish Group.

Greg also participates in a number of local and industry organizations including a director with the Kensington North Watershed Association, a member of the Prince Edward Island Institute of Agrologists, a director of the Farm & Food Care P.E.I., a director with the PEI Farming 4R Island, a director of the Canadian Potato Council, a director of the United Potato Growers of Canada and a director of the World Potato Congress. Greg completed the Nuffield Scholar Program (an international agricultural adult education program) that included a study of the Potato industry in Belgium (processing focus), Holland (seed focus) and the UK (fresh focus).

Greg, his wife Becky along with their daughter Abby and son Jack live in Margate, P.E.I. Greg enjoys family activities, boating, outdoor activities and travelling.
