This northern Ontario potato farm is testing a plant-based stimulant to increase yields

To run a successful potato farm, Dan Poulin says he always has to be open to new technologies.
“I always try to have a step ahead of the competition, or a step ahead of Mother Nature, or ahead of the game,” said Poulin, who owns Don Poulin Potatoes in the Azilda community of Greater Sudbury.
This summer, Poulin is setting aside an acre of farmland – he owns 1,000 and farms 400 acres every year – to test a product called GrowMAS.
It’s a plant-based bio-stimulant meant to encourage plant growth, and for Poulin, hopefully increase his yields. | READ MORE
