Syngenta Canada launches Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Potato seed treatment

November 7, 2023  By Potatoes in Canada

Syngenta Canada Inc. has launched Cruiser Maxx® Vibrance® Potato fungicide and insecticide seed treatment to combat a broad spectrum of yield‑inhibiting pests.

Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Potato simplifies seed treating with its convenient all‑in‑one formulation, delivering both proven insect protection and robust control against all primary potato diseases.

“Each spring, growers receive potato seed knowing they’ll need to prioritize any diseases or issues they’re presented with,” says Justin Bouvier, product lead for Seedcare with Syngenta Canada. “Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Potato gives growers the assurance they’re receiving the most robust disease control in an early‑season insect management product.”

“The convenient all‑in‑one formulation offers growers a way to simplify the seed treating process during one of the busiest times on the farm with an easy‑to‑handle pre‑mix formulation,” adds Justin.

Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Potato has two modes of action against the key seed‑borne diseases, including Fusarium, silver scurf and Rhizoctonia (black scurf). With Vibrance, growers will see Rhizoctonia control as well as Rooting Power® for healthier, stronger roots to aid in sound stand establishment.

Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Potato also contains Thiamethoxam, a Group 4 insecticide, for defense against early-season insect pests such as Colorado potato beetles, aphids and potato leafhoppers.

Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Potato will be available for the 2024 growing season and sold in a case of four 3.785 litre jugs co-packed with a vibrant blue liquid colourant for better line of sight on application coverage.
