PGA planning second late blight workshop

May 27, 2014, Alberta – The Potato Growers of Alberta are hosting a second late blight workshop in June. 

Dr. Phillip Hamm, professor emeritus (plant pathology) and director of Oregon State University’s Hermiston
Agricultural Research and Extension Center, will be speaking at the one-day session on the good, the bad and the ugly about applying fungicides to control late blight in potatoes. 

The session will be held on June 10 in Taber at the Taber Legion from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., with breakfast provided. A second session will be held June 11 in Leduc from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. with lunch provided.
