New GM to lead Keystone Potato Producers

The Keystone Potato Producers Association board welcome Susan Ainsworth as its next general manager, replacing outgoing Dan Sawatzky, who says Ainsworth’s past experience and exposure within the potato industry makes her a perfect choice.

Ainsworth has a bachelor of science in agriculture from the University of Manitoba and recently completed a master’s in business administration from the Shannon School of Business at Cape Breton University. She has worked in various roles within the potato industry in Manitoba over the past 26 years and has experience at numerous levels including retail, government, post-secondary education, industry and on farm.

Keystone says Ainsworth is passionate about agricultural education, sustainable food production and community development, and was a recent recipient of the Women of Distinction Award in Agriculture recognizing her commitment to the community of Westman, Man., through vision, creativity and initiative.
