Outstanding Young Farmers program in AB/NWT nominations open

June 27, 2013 - Nominations are now open for the 2014 Outstanding Young Farmers Program within the Alberta/Northwest Territories (NWT) region.

Nominees may be an individual, couple or managing partner/shareholder of a farm group. To qualify, the nominee must derive a minimum of two-thirds of their gross revenue from farming and not have reached the age of 40 as of January 1 in the year of competition.

The Alberta/NWT regional event for Canada's Outstanding Young Farmers program will be hosted at Banff, Alberta, on February 13-14, 2014.

One farmer or farming couple will be selected to represent the Alberta/NWT Region at the National Awards Program to be held in Quebec City, Quebec November 25-30, 2014.
