No potato shortage yet, PGA says

Some areas of Canada did have a tough harvest due to cold, wet conditions resulting in these areas having lower than normal production, but there's no spud shortage yet, says Terence Hochstein, executive director of the Potato Growers of Alberta (PGA).

Despite shortages in some areas, the potato industry is interwined and managing supply. Alberta has already shipped potatoes to P.E.I. and Manitoba for processing and the PGA has filled all their contracts with southern Alberta potato producers. | READ MORE
