Farmers’ mental-health program expanded to meet higher demand in P.E.I.

The coalition of groups funding the Farmer Assistance Program in P.E.I. has increased the amount of money available to help farmers facing mental-health issues.
Funding for the program has increased to $32,000, from $12,000, in response to an increased demand for services. The program is being expanded this year to include farm employees, and services will be offered free to members of the National Farmers Union, as they have been for Federation of Agriculture members. | READ MORE
