Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) added three new models to its Flotation range, a range of tires that focus on having a reduced impact on the ground to limit soil compaction.

The company revealed its latest three models late last year at Agritechnica 2019, a biennial trade fair held in Hanover, Germany. The Flotation range of tires are characterized by a flotation capacity for reduced ground impact. The three new models are V-Flexa, FL 633 Performa, and the Ridemax FL 699 in a 24 R 20.5 size.

BKT differentiates between the three tires by which vehicle they’re best suited for.

  • V-Flexa: designed for agricultural trailers and designed to transport heavy loads with tire pressure that is 30 per cent lower than a standard tire of the same size.
  • FL 633 Performa: designed for trucks for farm use but can also be used for tractors. It can be used in the field or on the highway at speeds up to 10o km/h.
  • Ridemax FL 699: designed for road use with trailers and tankers. This tire is made for road use 90 per cent of the time, but can also be used in the field.

The Flotation range includes several other tires that all focus on minimal disturbance to the ground: FL 630 SUPER, FL 630 ULTRA, FL 635, FL 637, FL 639, RIDEMAX FL 690 and RIDEMAX FL 693 M.
